Walking Calorie Calculator
Estimate calories burned from a walk using body weight, steps or distance, and walking pace. The result is an estimate, but it helps compare shorter and longer walks.
Estimate Your Walk
Method, scope and sources
Gross calories = MET × 3.5 × weight in kg ÷ 200 × minutes, including resting energy during the walk. Pace presets use 2.8, 3.5 and 4.3 mph (4.51, 5.63 and 6.92 km/h) with 3.8, 4.8 and 5.5 METs for level, firm-surface walking.
Enter miles or kilometres. An entered distance takes precedence over steps. Without a distance, this tool assumes 2,200 steps per mile (about 1,367 per km); this is a StepClash approximation, not your measured stride. Supported inputs: 25–454 kg, up to 200,000 whole steps or 100 miles/about 161 km. Limits are for input checking, not activity recommendations.
